1. When Jesus died as our Passover lamb, he died in control and victory. Why does this truth matter? If Jesus died in victory over sin, death, and Satan then how does that impact the way we live the Christian faith?
2. Jesus’ bones remained unbroken and his side was pierced in order to fulfill Scripture. How does these two images of Jesus point us to the purpose of Jesus’ death? Read Zechariah 12:10 and explain how the water and blood that flowed from Jesus’ side became the fountain God uses to cleanse us.
3. John wants us to respond with faith to Jesus, however, it is possible for us to ignore Jesus and to respond when it is too late. How have you responded to Jesus as your pierced lamb? What is holding you back to respond the way John wants us to respond?
