Have you ever had a light bulb moment? A moment when everything started to make sense? John had his light bulb moment when he looked inside Jesus’ empty tomb. Listen to find out as Pastor Andrew preaches from John 20:1–10.

Application Questions:

1. Have you ever had a light bulb moment about your faith? What were the circumstances that lead you to this moment? How has your life changed since this moment? If you saw Jesus’ grave cloths untouched and rolled up in one piece, do you think you would have a light bulb moment? Why or why not?

2. From John’s light bulb moment we learn that knowledge is not everything. Do you feel as if you don’t know enough to truly trust in Jesus and his resurrection? Why do you think you need more knowledge? What’s the difference between trusting in God because of what you know versus what you see? How does this look in your life?

3. From John’s light bulb moment we learn that knowledge is not enough. It is faith that leads to knowledge and not knowledge that leads to faith. Do you agree that knowledge by itself is not enough? Why do you think faith is necessary before knowing God? Share how John’s light bulb moment affects the way you look at your own faith?
