Our Story
How it All Began
In Hendricks County there are around 50,000 people with no religious affiliation who do not go to church. To understand why this was happening, we began initiating conversations with our family and friends. This culminated in valuable insight from research over a period of 4 years.
In 2020, we put that research into action by forming numerous meetings with unchurched individuals from around the county to try a new way of participating in "church." Those meetings are the inspiration behind The BridgeHC.
We have discovered that most people who do not go to church are weary of the traditional Sunday Morning worship experience. They feel awkward, disconnected, and a burden to those in the church. They have questions but do not feel it appropriate, or safe, to ask them to the pastors of the church's they visit. Some have been hurt by the church and have left traumatized, depressed, and isolated. The Unchurched, in our experience, no longer want to be lectured to... they want conversations. They want to be able to have those conversations in a place that will not judge them for their thoughts or opinions.
That is what The BridgeHC is all about. Yes, we are a church... but one that is designed specifically for people to have conversations about their faith, about Jesus, and about Christianity. We hope people who come and visit our church can find respectful dialogue, loving and understanding people, answers to their questions, and healing from their pain.

Our Beliefs
STANDING ON THE WORD...
- We accept the Bible as the inspired word of God and our only source of doctrine.
- We believe all the Bible to be the verbally inspired word of God; that the Holy Spirit is the author; that original transcripts are without fault or error, and that the Bible is the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice.
CREATED BY A LIVING GOD...
- We believe in a living God who eternally exists in perfect unity through three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and made humans in His image.
- We believe God created humanity to be good and upright, for God said, "Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.”
- We believe God created marriage. It is a covenant made between a man and a woman that makes them one.
CENTERED ON CHRIST...
- We believe Man, by their own choice, committed sins against God, and their only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
- We believe that Jesus died for the sins of all humankind, was bodily resurrected from the grave, and ascended into Heaven.
- We believe in the personal return of Christ.
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of all--the saved into eternal life, and the unsaved into eternal punishment.
SAVED BY HIS GRACE...
- We believe that salvation is by God’s grace shown through the death and resurrection of Christ.
- We believe that the gift of salvation is open to all people, everywhere.
- We believe that the response of God’s gift of salvation is faith, repentance, confession, and baptism by immersion.
- We believe the continued growth of one’s faith is through daily submission to the Holy Spirit that indwells every believer.
